Welcome to St. Christopher's
"Seeking God's Truth, Sharing God's Love"
Sunday, June 18 - Happy Father's Day
This is the second Sunday following Pentecost. Children's Sunday School begins at 9:30 am, followed by worship services and communion at 10 am. Our fellowship hour is in the Parish Hall right after services.
Everyone is welcome to join us following services as we celebrate Father's Day with delicious refreshments, great company and our wonderful Equal Exchange coffee. Have a Wonderful Weekend ...
Reverend Anne Knight Hoey is our interim rector.
Anne was born in Austin. She attended local schools, graduated from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, and studied at Wellesley College and the University of Texas, where she earned a B.A. in Spanish.
She received the degree of Master of Divinity and was ordained to the diaconate in 1988 and to the priesthood in 1989. She served the Seminary of the Southwest as an adjunct lecturer and tutor in theology, as seminary chaplain, and on its board of trustees.
Anne has served as associate rector and rector in several churches in central Texas. Since retiring in 2005, she has served as a supply priest in this area.
Our Celebration of Pentecost ... !!!
One of the wonderful traditions at St. Christopher's is our amazing decorations for Pentecost. We think special Angels come early Sunday morning to fill the Sanctuary with red balloons, and a few white ones.
Everyone gets to take balloons home, if you can get them in your car or truck !!!
Message from St. Christopher's ...
We are deeply grateful for our wonderful community, for the amazing people who are our parish family.
We include the Whole World in our prayers and ask God's Blessings for all our Families and Friends wherever they may be.
If you have any prayer needs, you can call the church office (512-288-0128) with your request.
Wednesday Meditation Class –
Our Meditation class is meeting on Wednesday at 5 pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome regardless of your experience with any contemplative practice.
Mary Christopher leads our meditation group. She has more than 25 years’ experience teaching meditation as well as studying and practicing meditation.
If you are interested in beginning meditation or strengthening your current practice, consider joining us.
Choir Rehearsal -
Choir rehearsal is this Wednesday at 7 pm in the Sanctuary. If you love to sing, consider joining us. We have a joyful time together. No long-term commitment is required. So, join us as we make "a joyful noise to the Lord".
Ann Vail leads our wonderful choir every Sunday. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated musicians.
Our Walking Trail -
One of the most popular areas of the church is the walking trail, which depicts the Stations of the Cross and is used during our Good Friday service. There is always a breeze up on the hill, reminding us of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Our Church -
Our lovely church sits on a small hill looking over the Barton Creek Preserve, giving us a spectacular view of the surrounding area. We continue to enhance the beauty of the grounds with plantings of native Texas wildflowers.
